Overview

CSV Validator is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle data when you use our CSV validation and fixing tool.

Data We Process

Client-Side Processing Only

Your CSV files are processed entirely in your browser. We do not upload, store, or transmit your CSV data to any server. All validation and fixing operations happen locally on your device.

  • CSV files never leave your device
  • No server-side storage of your data
  • No third-party access to your files
  • Data is cleared when you close the browser tab

Payment Information

If you purchase premium features, payment is processed securely through PayPal. We do not store your payment card details. PayPal handles all payment processing in accordance with their privacy policy.

  • We receive only transaction confirmation (order ID, status)
  • No credit card numbers are stored on our servers
  • PayPal's privacy policy governs payment data handling

Cookies and Local Storage

We use minimal browser storage for essential functionality:

  • Session state: Temporary data to maintain your validation session (cleared on page refresh)
  • No tracking cookies: We do not use advertising or analytics tracking cookies
  • No persistent storage: We do not store your data in localStorage long-term

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • PayPal: For payment processing (premium features only)
  • Vercel: For website hosting

These services have their own privacy policies that govern their data handling.

Your Rights (GDPR/CCPA)

Since we don't store your personal data or CSV files, most data rights requests are not applicable. However, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request information about any data we may hold
  • Deletion: Request deletion of any data (though we don't store CSV data)
  • Portability: Your data stays on your device - you already have it
  • Opt-out: You can stop using the service at any time

Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your use of our service:

  • HTTPS encryption for all connections
  • Security headers to prevent common attacks
  • No server-side storage of sensitive data
  • Regular security reviews

Children's Privacy

Our service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
